an album that aims to evoke a lost age: the mid-2000s, before the advent of all-pervasive social media, but most importantly the golden age of nu-metal and ska-pop.

samples are used extensively to capture the atmosphere of this era on both sides. the a-side focuses on the lighter aspects of this troubling time, which many of us would like to forget (lol so emo), including eclectic samples from nu-metal to smooth jazz. the b-side focuses more on the darker aspects of the entire era, moving from the raw synthesiser of giltinė to the eerily familiar late-90s melodies of atgaivinimas.

and, not to eschew its lithuanian namesake, šiauliai embraces the new styles of baltic-styled internet music that have recently emerged.
