You, my beautiful country, my precious belonging; in winter, so white: in summer, at peace: you take me to you - so close, in your arms. You, Islands, so mighty - bless! - the name that men gave you when they saw you; yes, bless Føroyar, my country.

The red sun that shines in summer (in líð); the storm, that kills in wintertime; and the darkness that hides from me the brightest goal; and the light which plays - it says in my soul: All strings that sound, that dare, that hope that I defend Føroyar, my nation.

But, long live the motherland; built, strong, by the people's might. Long live all people, united under red: strong in our friendship, tried by fire. Long, may the flag of crimson stand - constructed by the workers' powerful hands - that hope I defend my nation, Føroyar.

Through days dark and stormy, where the great Trotsky led us; our eyes spied the great whorl of freedom, above. Now, Chkhenkeli, our leader, with faith in the people, inspires us to build the great land that we love; he blesses Føroyar, my land.
